Hill Park Practice Manager
We are happy to bring you the news that Dr. Johnson has regained much of her stamina and returned to practice as of the first of July. For the month of August she will continue to work limited hours, two days a week. As her reserve grows stronger she will lengthen her schedule to three or four days a week.
You can now call our office at Hill Park Medical Center and schedule appointments or leave messages as needed.
The Herbal Pharmacy is still fully functional and ready to serve your supplement needs.
Wishing you all a great summer,
After a brief return to practice, Dr. Johnson decided that it was a bit too soon to be back at work. She has postponed her return until August 1st, 2013. She is doing very well with no new complications, and just needs a little more time to regain her stamina.
We are still up and running, ready to serve your supplement needs in the Herbal Pharmacy.
Thank you all for your continued support.
We are happy to announce that Dr. Johnson is planning to return to practice Monday, May 20th 2013. Her schedule is open for morning appointments as of that date. There is a slight chance that her return date may be delayed, but we do not foresee any setbacks at this time. We are very happy to welcome her and all of you back!
As many of you know, the Herbal Pharmacy moved into Hill Park Medical Center West at the end of October. While downsized and space-challenged, we will continue to provide all functions and usual services. Please let us know if you have any herbal pharmacy needs. If you haven't visited our new site, our current contact information can be found below.
Dr. Johnson would like to let you all know that she has completed her chemotherapy and is on track with the next phase of her treatment. Our expectation is that she will return to practice as planned, sometime in May. At that time, she will resume seeing patients here at Hill Park West. The Hill Park practitioners have been great, attending to our patients' needs during Lois's absence. They are available for appointments, filling prescriptions, interpreting laboratory results, and managing other aspects of patient care. If you are in need of interim care, you can learn more about the Hill Park practitioners on their website at www.hillparkmedicalcenter.com or by calling the front desk at (707) 861-7300.
We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our sincere appreciation to our loyal patients. Your continued business and support have eased the burden of an unexpected medical leave. We know you have many options when shopping for your herbal and supplement needs; we're grateful and proud to have you as our patient and customer. Please know that we work very hard to help you live a healthier life, and that your loyalty and support mean the world to us.
News for My Patients:
I have decided to merge my practice with the Hill Park Medical Center West in Sebastopol. Hill Park is a group of holistic and integrative physicians and other practitioners whose interests and philosophies are similar to mine. They have agreed to cover my practice and care for my patients while I am on medical leave. When I am ready to return to work, I will resume seeing my patients at their Sebastopol location. This is a big change, but I think it will be a good move for myself and my patients. When I am healthy, this will allow me to return to a very supportive environment and I feel confident that you will receive excellent care from the practitioners at Hill Park while I am away. I have been so touched by everyone's kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity at Hilll Park; this is truly an unexpected and wonderful gift during this difficult period in my life.
My Herbal Pharmacy will be moving to the Hill Park West location in Sebastopol early next week. During our move the pharmacy will have a one day closure on Monday, October 29, 2012. As of Tuesday, October 30, 2012 all orders will be available for pick up at the new Sebastopol location. Our new business hours are posted below, along with our new address and phone number.
Thanks to all of you for your cards, gifts and messages. I am so grateful for your support!
To My Valued Patients:
I am ready to share information with all of you regarding my situation.
On August 22, 2012, I had surgery for breast cancer. I am currently doing well and recovering nicely. After considering all the facts, and doing a great deal of soul searching, I have decided to do the treatments recommended by my team of excellent physicians. I will be doing both chemotherapy and radiation therapy…along with some good herbs, of course! My doctors tell me I have a very good chance of a cure with these treatments. I have also decided that I will not be able to work while I am in treatment, as I will need to focus on my own health and healing during this time. I estimate that I will be out of work for an additional 7 to 8 months. This means that I may not be back to work until around May of 2013. Please understand that the exact time will depend on many factors that I cannot predict at this time.
For financial reasons, it will be necessary to move my office and Herbal Pharmacy to a new location while I am on this extended leave. I am considering a couple of possibilities: moving to a smaller office in the area, or possibly joining another local holistic medical practice. Either way, my intention is to keep the Herbal Pharmacy open to continue refilling your prescriptions and to maintain a place where your medical records will be kept safe and accessible. During this transition my practice manager, Summer, will be available to communicate with you as needed. We will keep you updated on the website with changes in our contact information.
During this challenging time I am experiencing many emotions, one of which is gratitude: for my sweet life, our beautiful planet, my amazing friends, my family, and for all of you.
I am deeply touched by all your kind and supportive messages, cards, thoughts and prayers. I am remembering everything I have learned from you over the years about courage, dignity, honesty and the willingness to do what needs to be done during difficult times. You have been my best teachers and I am so grateful.
In my absence, I ask for your continued support. In addition to your thoughts and prayers, I hope you will continue to use the Herbal Pharmacy and that you will return to my care when I am ready to resume my practice.
I appreciate your patience and understanding during a time that I know may be difficult and confusing for you as well.
With sincere thanks,
